Consistency and Determination Shine Through Akshay Murthy completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon with a strong performance and a total time of 2:41:33. His average pace was an impressive 6:09 min/mile. Notably, he maintained a steady pace with minimal variation, showing remarkable consistency throughout his splits. The fastest split was mile 7 at 5:38 min/mile, which helped him gain ground, moving up to 13th overall. Meanwhile, mile 24 saw a slight slow down at 7:21 min/mile, which slightly affected his standing but he quickly regained his pace. Akshay finished 18th out of 2712 total participants, claiming 5th in the M30-34 division, and ranking 18th amongst 18 male competitors. His efforts during the race demonstrate endurance and determination. For future races, maintaining the strong mile pace he established in the early splits can optimize overall placement.
