Strong Mid-Race Surge Boosts Performance Joshua Robinson demonstrated impressive performance metrics during the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon. Starting with a pace of 8:49 for the first mile, he progressively increased his speed, reaching a swift 7:42 by the third mile. Notably, his overall pace for the race was strong at 8:04 minutes per mile. Throughout the race, he advanced from 547th to 290th place overall, marking significant progress in rankings. In his division, M40-44, Joshua's initial placement was 38th. By maintaining a consistent pace and strategic positioning, he managed to finish 19th in his division. Consistency was a highlight, with seven out of the 13 miles clocked at a pace quicker than 8:05 per mile. A slight drop in pace occurred between the 10th and 11th miles, but he quickly recovered, concluding the race with a well-paced 7:51 mile. For future races, refining pacing strategy towards the end could further enhance performance.
