Consistent Performance with Exceptional Early Pace Amy Hoagland demonstrated a strong and consistent performance at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon. Her total elapsed time was 1:18:14, averaging a pace of 5:58 per mile over the 13.1-mile distance. Amy exhibited an impressive first mile split of 5:42, which was her fastest split. Despite slight variations in pacing, she maintained an overall steady performance throughout the race. Interestingly, Amy held the first-place position in her gender and division for a significant portion of the race, reporting consistent placement from mile 1 to mile 11. A potential area for refining her strategy could be maintaining the consistency witnessed in the early and middle parts of the race through to the end. Adjusting split paces at mile 10 and 11, where there was a noticeable slowdown to 6:23, might help her sustain her top position. Overall, finishing 3rd in her gender category and division is commendable.
