Strong Finish with Impressive Late Segment Improvement Liliana Arunga completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K with an overall time of 1:37:49, achieving an average pace of 15:46 min/mile over the 6.2-mile course. Her performance was consistent, although slower in the latter half of the race. Particularly noteworthy is her final mile, where she marked a significant improvement in both placing and time with a split pace of 17:28 min/mile, rising to 255th overall and 22nd in her division. Analyzing her split times, Liliana demonstrated a steady start with her best pace of 13:21 min/mile in the second mile. However, her pace slowed between miles 3 and 4, affecting her overall position. The final segment delivered an outstanding push forward in her division ranking. Encouragement for future races would be to maintain her initial pace consistency while working to minimize fluctuations from mile three onwards for stronger early and mid-race performance.
