Steady Start, Challenging Finish Fabrizio Valenzuela embarked on the 2025 Phoenix Marathon, showcasing a consistently strong performance in his initial splits, with a notable pace of 7:51 min/mile maintained through mile 6. His efficient start was evident as he ranked 39th in his division at mile 1. By mile 8, Fabrizio accelerated with a split of 7:40 min/mile, finishing that segment in 38th division placethe highest placement he achieved during the race. Maintaining a pace below 8:00 min/mile until mile 17, Fabrizio demonstrated stamina and pacing skill. However, post-mile 17, a gradual slow down was observable, with a significant pace decline during the final mile as it clocked at 42:47 min/mile. This presented an opportunity to evaluate endurance strategies for late-race consistency.
