Strong Finish with a Final Surge Narissa Nagji from Phoenix showcased endurance and a notable final push in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K. Starting at a steady pace of 15:40 min/mile for the first mile, Narissa maintained strong consistency in the middle section of the race, with her mile 3 split improving slightly to 14:12 min/mile. However, miles 4 and 5 saw slower splits, with times of 18:45 min/mile and 19:07 min/mile, respectively, which resulted in a decrease in overall placing during this stretch. Notably, Narissa displayed resilience with an impressive final mile split time of 15:26 min/mile, demonstrating a significant improvement and earning her 3rd place in the F15-18 division for that split. Overall, she finished with an elapsed time of 1:54:43 in the 10K, covering 6.2 miles. Although she placed 15th in her division, her performance during the last stretch is commendable, suggesting that with more consistent pacing throughout, there could be even more impressive results.
