Consistent Acceleration with a Strong Finish Noemi Alvillar showed tremendous progression in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K event. Starting with a 10:58 min/mile pace for the first mile, she improved steadily with each subsequent mile demonstrating a keen sense of pacing. Her improvement was evident as she reached mile 4 with a notable 9:28 min/mile pace. She finished the race with an overall time of 1:01:46 and an average pace of 9:57 min/mile, placing 32nd in her division (F25-29) out of 83 participants. Her performance peaked in mile 6 with an impressive split pace of 8:57 min/mile which contributed to her overall improvement in rank, finishing 443rd overall out of 1840 and 169th among female runners. While her mid-race performance in mile 5 had a brief slowdown with a split pace of 11:24 min/mile, her ability to regain momentum in the final stretch shows excellent potential for future races. Focusing on maintaining consistent speed can further enhance her performance.
