Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Andres Garcia demonstrated impressive pacing at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K event. Starting strong, Andres completed his first mile in 5:55 and maintained consistency through the initial stages with his next two splits at 5:45 and 5:44 respectively. Notable was his performance between miles four and five, where he gained three places overall and moved up to 2nd in his division M25-29, completing mile four in 5:36. Although there was a temporary pacing dip during mile five, Andres made an exceptional comeback with a 5:24 split for the final mile. Andres finished the race with a total time of 35:56 on the 6.2-mile course, averaging a brilliant pace of 5:47 min/mile. He placed 11th overall out of 1,840 participants and 8th among males, indicating his competitive standing. Maintaining focus on mid-race pacing could further benefit his future performances.
