Consistent Pacing Leads to a Strong Finish Shane Snyder completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon with a time of 1:58:05. Averaging a pace of 9:00 min/mile throughout the 13.1 miles, he demonstrated consistent pacing. Starting out with a 9:22 min/mile pace for the first mile, he progressively increased his speed, achieving his fastest mile at an 8:16 pace in mile 13. Shane's final placement was 690th overall out of 2723 participants, and 441st among male participants. Notably, Shane's placement within his division, M45-49, started at 40th and concluded at 39th, showing a solid performance in his age group. He consistently improved his pacing throughout, especially between miles 12 and 13, where he clocked his fastest split times. For future races, maintaining the momentum built in the latter stages of the race from the beginning could further enhance his performance. Participating as part of the Swift Water Walkers team, Shane represented his city of Pinedale, NM, well.
