Consistent Splits with a Strong Mid-Race Surge Jonathan Gaytan from Phoenix, AZ, completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon with an overall time of 2:44:55, maintaining an average pace of 12:35 min/mile. Jonathan demonstrated consistent pacing in the early stages, clocking an initial mile at 11:37. Notably, he achieved his fastest pace between miles 5 and 6 with a split time of 10:54 at mile 5 and 11:10 at mile 6, significantly improving his position. His mid-race effort resulted in jumping over 890 positions overall between splits 5 and 6. Jonathan's split 7 stood out with a time of 16:09, marking an area for potential pacing strategy adjustment.
