Consistent Pace with Late Surge in 10K Performance In the 2025 Phoenix Marathon, Sergio Salazar demonstrated a steady performance throughout the 10K race. His overall completion time was 1:01:44, with an average pace of 9:57 min/mile. Notably, Sergio maintained a relatively consistent pace in most of the splits, starting with a 10:07 min/mile and finishing strong with a 9:16 min/mile, showcasing a remarkable increase in speed during the final mile. His performance contributed to a placement of 24th in the Men's 45-49 division and 272nd in the male category overall among 1,840 participants. While the fifth-mile split showed a slower pace of 11:19 min/mile, Sergio effectively managed to make up for it in the final mile. Focusing on maintaining an even pace could further enhance overall performance. The final mile improvement indicates potential for enhancing confidence and speed earlier in the race.
