Consistent Effort with Strategic Pace Improvements Kaitlin Janowsky participated in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon event, representing the Slow AF AZ Running Club. Over the 13.1-mile course, Kaitlin completed the race in 3:25:37, averaging a pace of 15:41 min/mile. She showed noticeable improvements mid-race, particularly between miles 4 and 6, where her pace dipped to around 15:33-15:38 min/mile, with a strong peak at mile 6, ranking 94th in her division. Kaitlin effectively managed pace fluctuations, successfully progressing from a slower start to a steadier rhythm. From a statistical perspective, while Kaitlin started with a first mile pace of 14:28 min/mile, her resilience paid off later as she achieved split times under 16 minutes several times. The mile 11 split increased significantly to 18:27 min/mile, indicating a potential area for further focus in terms of maintaining pace. Overall, Kaitlin secured the 1208th position out of 2723 female participants, placing 206th in her age group, showing commendable perseverance and diligence.
