Steady Start with Notable Mid-Race Struggles Jonathan Mojica Olivas began the 2025 Phoenix Marathon solidly, demonstrating consistency in the early miles. His pacing was commendable with a starting mile at 7:51 min/mile. He maintained a sub-8-minute mile pace through the first five miles, showing strong control and discipline. Noteworthy is the swift fifth mile, clocking in at a 7:21 min/mile pace. During the midrace, however, Jonathan faced notable challenges. Mile 8 saw a significant decline, with a 13:01 min/mile pace, indicating potential fatigue or other issues. Although he managed to regain some pace, completing mile 11 at 7:52 min/mile, the slower paces from mile 16 onwardwith a peak at 11:04 min/mile during mile 24suggest a lapse in consistency.
