Steady Improvement Leads to Strong Finish Meaghan Lieburn showed consistent improvement throughout the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon. Starting with an 8:41 min/mile pace, Meaghan progressed to a commendable 8:05 min/mile overall by the end. The most noteworthy split came at mile 9, with her fastest pace at 7:44 min/mile. Not only did her pace increase significantly, but her placement improved as well, climbing from 487th at the first mile to finishing 298th overall. A member of the Rochester Running Club, Meaghan finished with an impressive time of 1:46:03, positioning herself 96th among all female competitors and 19th in her F40-44 division. The progression shows a strong understanding of race strategy and pacing, and the consistent improvement across the splits indicates that there is potential for even faster times. Focusing on maintaining the momentum built through the mid-race sections could yield greater overall performance in future competitions.
