Consistent Performance with Strategic Pacing Lupe Spillman displayed a strong and steady pace throughout the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon. Starting with an initial pace of 11:41 min/mile, she maintained her rhythm with strategic surges, reaching an 11:30 min/mile between the 3rd and 5th mile, which showcases an adaptive running strategy. Her splits show that, despite a slower stretch during mile 11 with a 14:11 min/mile, she effectively managed her energy, rallying in later miles, and ultimately finishing with an average pace of 11:49 min/mile. Lupe finished the race with a time of 2:34:50, setting her at 71st in her division and 839th in her gender category. Despite the challenges in the latter part of the race, her ability to maintain a mostly consistent pace led to a solid performance among a total of 2723 participants.
