Consistent Early Pace with Room for Efficiency Improvements in Later Stages In an impressive early performance at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon, John Rowe started strong with a first mile split of 5:25 min/mile, placing 3rd in multiple categories. His pace remained consistently strong through the first half, maintaining times between 5:32 and 5:35 min/mile up until mile six. Notably, John secured a first-place finish in his division for the first two miles. As the race progressed, splits gradually lengthened with a noticeable shift starting from mile 13 where his pace slowed to 5:58 min/mile, and further extending to 6:42 min/mile by mile 26. This resulted in an overall pace of 6:12 min/mile, placing him 20th among 2712 participants.
