Consistent Performance with Stellar Finish Tony Zhang, representing the Rochester Running Club, completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon with a commendable elapsed time of 3:45:51, maintaining an overall pace of 8:37 min/mile over the 26.2 miles. Notably, Tony maintained splits around the mid-8-minute mark, demonstrating consistent effort throughout. His best split was mile 23, clocking in at 8:11 min/mile, indicating a strong surge late in the race. Tonys overall placement was 532nd among 2712 participants, securing the 85th spot in his division of M30-34, and 447th in the male category. While there was a slight slowdown at mile 24 with a pace of 10:03 min/mile, Tony rebounded with a strong finish through miles 25 and 26 at 8:14 min/mile and 8:20 min/mile respectively. Continuing to enhance those late-race miles and maintaining that closing speed in longer stretches could further improve his race strategy. Great job, Tony!
