Steady Pace and Strong Finish Throughout the 2025 Phoenix Marathon, with a total of 2723 participants, Karen Prentice maintained a consistent pace, navigating through the half marathon with an elapsed time of 2:20:34 and a pace of 10:43 minutes per mile. Initially, he started strong with a 9:53 pace in the first mile, placing him 642nd in his gender. Despite some variation, his ability to adjust pacing was evident as he managed to reclaim lower divisional placements by mile 6 and the final mile, where he significantly improved his position in his age division (M55-59) to 14th. In the middle section of the race, Karen saw a slight slowdown but demonstrated resilience by recovering well towards the end.
