Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Rudy Alvillar showed a consistent pacing strategy throughout the 2025 Phoenix Marathon, finishing the half marathon with an impressive time of 2:02:40. Starting with a cautious 10:00 min/mile pace in the first mile, Rudy improved his pace by more than a minute over the race. His splits reveal a well-managed effort, highlighted by an accelerated pace of 8:32 min/mile in the final mile, reflecting a strong finish. He placed 864th overall out of 2723 participants and improved steadily, particularly from mile six onwards. In the male 25-29 age division, Rudy achieved 104th place, showcasing competitive effort within his age group. Despite a brief slowdown between miles five and seven, he quickly regained momentum, evidenced by frequent sub-9:00 min/mile paces later in the race. Focusing on pacing through mid-race could enhance results. Overall, Rudy demonstrated persistence and determination, marking a solid performance in the competitive field.
