Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Peilun Tsung from Peoria, AZ, participated in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon's 10K event, completing it in 1:08:51. Starting steadily, he maintained a pace close to 14:40 min/mile for the first three miles, which placed him generally in the 540-556 range by gender and around 46-48 in his division. Notably, he later increased his speed significantly, achieving a split pace of 7:51 min/mile in mile four, moving up in rankings considerably. Peilun showed an admirable improvement in pacing towards the end, recording a 6:58 min/mile for the final mile, which is almost double the overall pace. This strong finish resulted in him placing 379th among males and 34th in his M45-49 division out of 1840 total participants. For future races, focusing on maintaining this faster pace earlier could potentially improve overall ranking and performance even further. Keep building on that excellent closing speed!
