Consistent Performance and Strong Mid-Race Recovery Ryan Bishop represented AZ Run Club at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon, completing the 10K in 1:00:58 with an average pace of 9:50 min/mile. Notably, there was a stronger mid-race performance between miles 2 and 4, where split times improved from an initial 11:19 min/mile to a swift 9:07 min/mile. Ryan made remarkable progress in placement within these splits, advancing from 737th to 409th overall. In his age division M40-44, Ryan finished 33rd among 1840 competitors, showing noteworthy consistency and determination. Maintaining a competitive stance within his division, his initial strategy paid off well through the early miles. A slight slowdown observed during the fifth mile can be improved upon in future races. Consistency, particularly in the early and mid-race stages, contributes positively to the overall result and indicates strong pacing abilities.
