Consistent Splits and Strong Finish Matthew Seifert from Mesa, AZ, delivered a consistent performance with noticeable improvement during the 2025 Phoenix Marathon half marathon event. Maintaining a steady pace, Matthew's splits progressively showed improvement, with his most notable effort between the 12th and 13th miles at an 8:18 min/mile pace. His overall pace averaged 8:57 min/mile, finishing the 13.1-mile course with a time of 1:57:21. Matthew effectively maintained a mid-pack position throughout the majority of the race, successfully moving from 900th overall in the first mile to concluding the event in 657th out of 2723 participants. Noteworthy gains in place were seen after the 6th mile, demonstrating his ability to accelerate effectively in the latter stages. A slight slowdown was observed during the 11th mile, presenting an opportunity to sustain a more consistent pace through to the end for future races. Excellent work as part of Team Challengers!
