Consistent Pacing with Notable Surges Nicholas Hernandez completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon with an overall time of 2:28:33, achieving an average pace of 11:20 min/mile. Starting strong, Nicholas completed his first mile at a pace of 9:42 min/mile, placing him 65th in his division. His split times varied, with a significant time of 12:45 in mile 10. Impressively, he managed to pick up speed nearing the final stretch, finishing with a faster mile at 11:03 min/mile. He consistently held a position in the top 100 within his division (M19-24), finishing 93rd out of this group. His strongest division placement was at the start, and despite a slight decline in placement, Nicholas maintained steady performance. Analyzing his pacing, it would be beneficial to focus on the segments where the pace dropped above 12 min/mile, providing an opportunity for honing pacing strategies in those miles.
