Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Zach began the 2025 Phoenix Marathon with a controlled and consistent pace, maintaining an impressive average around 7:18 7:22 min/mile through the first half of the race. Notably, Zach's strongest splits were in mile 7 and mile 8 at times of 6:55 and 6:54, respectively. This was a remarkable demonstration of speed and control at such a point in the marathon. Zach's pacing saw some variation in miles 20 through 24, culminating in a challenging mile 23 split of 14:02 and a drop in placement. Despite this, Zach showed significant resilience with a strong finish in the last mile. This was particularly commendable with a time of 7:44, boosting his position to a final placement of 77 overall in this mile. Overall, achieving a marathon time of 3:26:26 and an average pace of 7:52 min/mile in a competitive field of 2712 participants was a solid performance.
