Consistent Start, Strong Finish Riley Russell from Gilbert, AZ, completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K with a time of 1:19:03, maintaining an average pace of 12:45 min/mile. She started strong with a consistent pace, especially in the first 2 miles, recording times of 11:04 and 10:43 respectively. A notable highlight was in the final split, where she impressively accelerated and secured the top place in her gender category with an outstanding time of 12:06. Throughout the race, Riley demonstrated strong pacing. While her performance dipped slightly from miles 3 to 5, she recovered remarkably, propelling her forward in the last stretch. Riley ranked 54th in her division and 528th among female participants, with a final overall position of 1014 out of 1840 participants. Focusing on maintaining a steadier pace in future races could lead to even stronger results. Representing the team "We got the runs", her last-mile effort was exceptional.
