Consistent and Strategic Finish Jaxon Peters demonstrated consistent pacing throughout the 2025 Phoenix Marathon, maintaining a steady average pace of 6:05 minutes per mile over the 26.2-mile course. He finished with an overall time of 2:39:47. His strategic approach is evident in his split times, which show a strong and consistent performance especially at the start and towards the end of the race, recovering to a 6:05 pace at mile 25 after a few slower splits. Starting with a swift pace, Jaxon clocked a 5:46 mile for both the first and second miles, and transitioned smoothly as the race progressed. Notably, he was able to improve his placement significantly in the last mile, moving from 12th to 2nd place overall. To enhance future races, incorporating more targeted speed work could help maintain the early pace consistency over the latter miles.
