Consistent Effort with Strategic Splits Katelyn O'Hara maintained a steady pace throughout the race, finishing the 10K with a total time of 1:04:57 at an average pace of 10:28 min/mile. She experienced her fastest mile during the second segment, clocking in at 9:51 min/mile. Managing to keep most of her splits close to her average pace, she demonstrated commendable consistency and endurance, especially with her quick third and fourth mile paces of 10:22 and 10:03 min/mile respectively. Analyzing her placings, Katelyn consistently improved from the third to the sixth mile, regaining positions she had lost earlier. Notably, she was 37th in her F30-34 division at the first mile and concluded at 51st, indicating a need to explore strategies to maintain initial momentum or improve speed endurance to hold onto early gains. Her performance for Ellie's Squad certainly adds promise, and focusing on pacing tactics could enhance future results.
