Steady Progression and Strong Finish in Phoenix Kelsi Wusterbarth, representing the Verrado-Estrella Runners, completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon with a consistent performance, finishing in 2:02:21. She maintained an impressive average pace of 9:20 minutes per mile over the 13.1-mile course. Notably, Kelsis split times improved in the latter portion of the race, with her fastest mile at 8:54 in the 13th mile, showcasing her ability to maintain strength and speed as the race progressed. Kelsi climbed noticeably in her standings throughout the event. She concluded the race 49th in her division (F35-39), 317th among females, and 850th overall out of 2,723 competitors. Her mid-race splits showed a consistent improvement, most prominently between mile 5 (945th overall) and the finish, highlighting a strong strategic approach. Continuing to refine pacing strategies in the early stages could further enhance future results.
