Consistent Effort Leads to Strong Finish Allen maintained a steady pace throughout the half marathon, finishing with an overall time of 2:59:51. He demonstrated consistency by keeping his pace close to the average of 13:43 min/mile for a majority of the race. Key highlights include the 5th mile, where he achieved his fastest split time of 11:41 min/mile, showing a burst of speed. He ranked 22nd in his division, M65-69, and his overall positioning was 2151 out of 2723 participants. During the later miles, there were some fluctuations in pace, notably the 10th mile, where the pace dropped to 18:01 min/mile. Focus on maintaining endurance in the middle section of the race could help in holding a more even pace throughout. As a member of the Badlands Bandits, Allen can take pride in his efforts and consider targeting those mid-race segments for incremental improvements in future runs.
