Consistent Effort with a Strong Finish Emma Kaufman delivered a steady performance at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon in the 10K event. She maintained an overall pace of 12:52 min/mile, finishing with a time of 1:19:48. The initial mile was completed in 11:30, a solid start with a pace of 11:30 min/mile, positioning her 787th overall and 72nd within her F25-29 age division. A noticeable improvement occurred in the second mile, with a split pace of 11:14. However, the third mile displayed a slowdown with a split time of 15:29. Emma showed resilience by accelerating her pace again in the fourth and fifth miles, clocking in at 12:37 and 15:26, respectively. Impressively, she finished strong in the final stretch, completing the last mile with a split time of 12:41, which significantly improved her placement to 78th overall, a remarkable feat compared to the final overall placement of 1034. Focusing on sustaining even splits earlier on could further enhance her performance.
