Consistent with Late Surge Lanie Kapsalis maintained a steady pace throughout the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half, mainly hovering just around or slightly above a 10:10 min/mile pace. She began her race strong with a 10:07 min/mile, despite a gradual pace shift that kept her right at the 10:22 min/mile overall. Particularly notable is her division performance, where she finished 26th in the F25-29 category in the final split, up significantly from her earlier positions. She excelled during the third mile, clocking a swift 9:58 min/milethe quickest split of the race. However, splits 11 and 13 saw a slowdown with times of 11:53 and 11:00. Nevertheless, Lanie showed a balanced approach to pacing, suggesting robust preparation and endurance. Focusing on maintaining a steadier pace toward the latter miles could benefit her future races.
