Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Jamie Troy demonstrated a consistent pacing strategy throughout the 2025 Phoenix Marathon half marathon event. With an overall time of 2:13:42 and an average pace of 10:12 min/mile, Jamie displayed strong performance, especially in the final segments of the race. Notably, the 12th mile was completed in just 8:52, showcasing an impressive burst of speed and determination near the end. Starting at a pace of 10:10 min/mile, Jamie maintained a steady rhythm with minor fluctuations, been often clustered within the low 10-minute range. Position wise, Jamie improved towards the end, finishing 33rd in the M55-59 division out of 2723 participants. The significant improvement during certain splits, particularly after mile marker 6, suggests potential for even stronger finishes in future events. Great effort overall and a commendable display of stamina and pacing. Keep this strategy for pacing but increasing speed training may benefit future races.
