Consistent Mid-Race Recovery for Improvement Nathanael Roe maintained a consistent performance throughout the half marathon with a final time of 2:10:24, averaging a pace of 9:57 min/mile. Notably, from the start, Nathanael consistently placed in the 28th to 33rd range within his division (M55-59) highlighting competitive pacing amongst peers. His strongest split was achieved at mile 9, clocking at an 8:53 min/mile pace which reinforces capacity for speed when needed. The splits reveal opportunities for pacing improvements with mile 11 being the slowest at 11:37 min/mile. Encouragingly, he demonstrated recovery in the subsequent miles, regaining control and completing the final mile at a much improved 9:21 min/mile pace. These fluctuations suggest a need to focus on maintaining steady energy levels throughout the course. His impressive rally in the latter stage of the race is evidence of potential, which could be leveraged for smoother pacing strategies in future runs.
