Consistency and Strength Shine Throughout the Half Marathon Bertha Brock demonstrated notable consistency and determination in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon. Completing the half marathon with an overall time of 2:57:04 and a steady average pace of 13:30 min/mile, she secured the 6th position in the F70-74 division. Bertha's split times reflect a strong start, opening with the first mile at a pace of 12:27 min/mile. Despite fluctuations in split paces, she remained resilient and maintained a steady effort throughout. Bertha consistently placed within the top half of her division, hitting key milestones with splits like 12:40 min/mile on mile 9 and a strong finish at 12:36 min/mile for the last mile. Encouragingly, this solid effort resulted in a strong regional representation for Gilbert, AZ, and the East Valley Runners team. Focusing on maintaining pace through the mid-segment could further enhance future performance, showcasing Bertha's strength and dedication.
