Consistent Performance with Steady Pacing Vijaya Potluri showed a consistent and steady performance in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon with an overall elapsed time of 2:26:27. Vijaya maintained an average pace of 11:10 min/mile throughout the 13.1-mile course. Notably, her splits show a consistent pacing strategy with split times ranging from 10:08 to 11:53 min/mile. Her most consistent pacing was evident between miles 4 and 8, when her split paces remained mostly below 11:20 min/mile. The later miles showed a slight deceleration, hinting at some fatigue, particularly evident in the final miles where the pace increased to around 11:49-11:53 min/mile. Improving stamina in these later stages might help Vijaya to finish even stronger. Despite the deceleration in the last few miles, Vijaya managed to maintain relatively stable placements within her Gender and Division categories, especially with a commendable jump in placement at mile 6. Continued focus on endurance will benefit future performances.
