Steady Improvement with a Strong Finish Guillermo Tellez demonstrated steady pacing and determination during the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K. His overall elapsed time was 1:14:31, with an average pace of 12:01 min/mile, in a field of 1840 participants. Notably, his final split of 8:24 min/mile was his fastest, showcasing a strong finish. Starting with a consistent pace of 11:49 min/mile in the first mile, Guillermo managed to improve his pace significantly by the last mile. A mid-race slowdown in miles 4 and 5 with paces of 15:58 and 14:32, respectively, affected his overall placement. However, by recovering in the final stretch, he advanced from 1027th to 891st place overall, and from 489th to 443rd among males.
