Consistent Pace with a Strong Start Gregory Kelm had a notable performance at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon. Starting with a steady 8:01 min/mile pace, he quickly improved to a 7:52 min/mile pace by mile 2, demonstrating a strong opening strategy. Throughout the first half, Gregory maintained sub-8 minute miles, hitting his fastest mile at 7:44. His initial positioning also saw a positive shift, moving from 277th to 231st overall, showcasing early momentum. Although the second half saw a gradual decline in pace, peaking at a 9:57 min/mile for mile 11, his effort overall remained commendable. Despite finishing with an average pace of 8:17 min/mile, he demonstrated excellent consistency, only ranging between 7:44 and 9:57 min/mile. Analyzing split performance, focusing on maintaining the later race paces around the 8-minute mark could further enhance future outcomes. It's clear with minor adjustments to the end phase, Gregory could improve his overall time significantly.
