Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Alondra Calderon from Fontana, CA, delivered a stable performance throughout her half marathon, maintaining a steady average pace of 11:01 min/mile over the 13.1 miles. Her consistent pacing is evident with split times largely hovering around the 11-minute mark nine out of the 13 splits. Alondras best splits were at miles 9 and 12 with paces of 10:23 min/mile and 10:36 min/mile, respectively, showing impressive speed late in the race. Final time of 2:24:26 placed her 112th in the F30-34 division. Alondra effectively managed her position throughout the race, starting in the 123rd division place and improving to 112th by the finish, showing strong control and endurance. Closing gaps in pacing, particularly the slightly slower 11th mile (12:36 min/mile), could enhance overall race strategy. Joining the Sole Survivors team, her performance was commendable, highlighting potential for increased speed work to further capitalize on her consistent pace.
