Steady Progression with a Strong Finish Tish Lopez from Mesa, AZ, demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K. The race initiated with a 13:30 min/mile pace. Tish maintained a steady pace around 13:40 min/mile throughout the first four miles. Notably, at mile 5, there was a slowdown to a 16:48 min/mile pace. This is an area where she can direct future efforts to sustain speed in later stages. After the temporary slowdown, Tish displayed impressive endurance, achieving her strongest split at mile 6 with a 12:24 min/mile pace. This was Tish's fastest mile and significantly improved her placement: jumping to 165th place overall, 118th among females, and a notable 10th in the F45-49 division for this split. Her ability to accelerate towards the end is commendable. Overall, she completed the 10K with an elapsed time of 1:26:58, earning 35th in the F45-49 division. Continuing to focus on maintaining speed throughout the race could yield even better results.
