Progressive Pacing with a Strong Finish Sarah Ruiz demonstrated a consistent race strategy during the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K event with each mile showing her ability to maintain a steady pace. Starting strong, her initial mile clocked in at 10:45, slowly transitioning through mid-race miles slightly above 12-minute pace, before finishing her race at a 12:14 average pace. Her fastest mile was the first, and she managed to pick up the pace during the last mile with an 11:39 split. Her overall time of 1:15:56 placed her 940th out of 1840 participants, positioning her 478th in the female category and 95th in the F30-34 division. While the mid-race splits slowed somewhat, Sarah managed to rally in her final mile, indicating strong endurance capacity.
