Consistent Momentum with a Strong Finish Delaney showcased consistent pacing throughout the half marathon, starting strong with an initial split time of 11:15. By mile 5, Delaney had shaved off time, achieving a 10:38 split pace, offering some of the fastest splits in her race. Though challenging segments led to a slight delay, notably at mile 6 with a 12:51 pace, Delaney efficiently regained momentum, maintaining an average pace of 11:10 min/mile overall. Placed 731st among females and 137th in the F25-29 division, Delaney executed a strategic approach by accelerating towards the finish. The final miles saw the fastest paces, dipping to 10:16 and 10:09 at mile 12 and 13 respectively, contributing to an overall finish time of 2:26:27. Strategically focusing on maintaining consistency earlier could see further enhancement, capitalizing on the strength and pace exhibited in the final stretches.
