Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Yadira Shallue, representing Verrado-Estrella Runners, completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon half-marathon with a total time of 2:41:56, maintaining an average pace of 12:21 min/mile. Starting strong with an 11:38 min/mile in the first mile, there was a slight gradual deceleration in the middle sections. Notably, the pace improved in the final miles, showcasing strategic energy conservation with sub-11-minute finishes in the 12th and 13th miles. Within her division (F45-49), she secured the 75th position. Also noteworthy is her consistent placement within the top 1000 of her gender category throughout the race, finishing 921st. There was a progressive improvement in the second half of the race, with significant gains in positioning climbing from 1079th to 921st in the gender category. Focusing on a more balanced pace strategy could enhance future performances. Overall, a commendable finish with strong competitive spirit.
