Consistent Middle Miles Lead to Solid Finish Hyunwoo Baik completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon half marathon in 2:25:13, averaging an 11:05 min/mile pace over the 13.1 miles. His performance was strongest during the middle section of the race, particularly between miles 3 and 6, where he clocked splits ranging from 9:18 to 10:12 min/mile. Notably, the split for Mile 6 improved his overall gender and division placements to 319th and 8th, respectively, indicating a significant speed boost. While Hyunwoo maintained a relatively consistent pace, his race strategy could benefit from increased speed endurance in the latter segments. The last three miles saw a slowdown with split paces rising to between 11:25 and 14:15 min/mile. Ending with an overall place of 1584 out of 2723 demonstrates strong dedication.
