Consistent Pace with Strong Division Finish Mauricio Nicolls showcased consistent pacing in the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon event. Competing in the M45-49 division, he maintained an impressive average pace of 7:39 minutes per mile, completing the 13.1 miles with a final time of 1:40:13. Starting strong with a 7:15 for the first mile, he sustained his effort through the course, achieving his fastest split again in the final mile with a 7:15. Notably, he placed 12th in his division out of all participants, which reflects a competitive performance. Looking at specific splits, a slight decrease in speed was noted at the 11th mile, clocking in at a 9:00 pace, presenting an opportunity to focus on maintaining pace in later stages of the race. Nonetheless, his final mile demonstrated a commendable surge, indicating strong finishing potential.
