Consistent Splits with a Strong Finish Tim Herzer completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon Half Marathon with an overall time of 2:16:30, averaging a pace of 10:25 min/mile. His place in the M60-64 division was 27 out of the participants. A highlight of Tim's performance was the noticeable surge in speed during mile 13, with a split time of 10:22 and achieving 5th place in his division at that point. While his overall pace was consistent, there was a notable slowdown during mile 11 with a split of 14:16. This mile extended his overall time but recovering quickly for the final stretch demonstrates resilience. The team "Sole Sports" can be proud of the effort, as the overall strategy and pacing were sound. Focusing on maintaining consistency during the middle stages in future races may yield even stronger results. Keep up the training, and aim for a little more speed in those middle miles next time!
