Consistent Splits and Strong Finish Achieved Wade Kreun delivered a notable performance at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon half marathon event, finishing with an impressive time of 1:46:03 and an average pace of 8:05 min/mile. Wade exemplified consistency through the race, showing a steady improvement in pace, particularly in the middle section where he clocked his fastest splits. His performance was marked by a standout split of 7:45 min/mile at both the 9th and 10th miles, climbing significantly in his division position. Throughout this 13.1-mile course, Wade gained incredible momentum, moving from 33rd at the first mile to finish first in his division for M40-44 in the final mile. His final mile split of 7:56 min/mile allowed him to secure a strong finish overall. As his coach, I suggest focusing on maintaining energy in the later miles to retain his pace, as a slight deceleration was noted in miles 11 and 12. Consistent pacing and strategic speedwork could enhance future performance further.
