Strong Start with Consistent Performance Megan began her race with a strong performance, maintaining an impressive 8:39 min/mile pace for the first mile. Her efforts initially placed her well within the top 30 of her division and 161st among females. As the race progressed, slight variations in split times became apparent, with mile 5 showing a notable change at a 9:32 min/mile pace. Throughout the race, Megan maintained an overall consistent rhythm, with her split paces varying between 8:39 and 11:26 min/mile. The key takeaway here is maintaining the early momentum as the race progresses. Consider incorporating more varied pace training to improve endurance during those latter miles. Despite a varied pace, Megan completed the Half Marathon with an overall elapsed time of 2:10:35, ranking 454th among females and 86th in her division of F25-29, contributing a commendable performance for East Valley Runners in a field of 2723 participants.
