Consistent Effort with Burst in the Final Stretch Lesa Carlin, a member of Black Girls RUN!, completed the 2025 Phoenix Marathon 10K with a final time of 1:41:01, achieving an overall pace of 16:17 minutes per mile. She demonstrated consistency throughout the race, with slight variations in her split times. Notably, her split pace improved towards the end, culminating in an impressive final mile timed at 15:12. Lesa's overall precision in pacing showed dedication, especially in her final split where she trimmed nearly two minutes off the earlier mile splits. Lesa finished 30th in her F60-64 division, among a total of 1840 participants. Her placement shifted slightly during the race, but she maintained a steady rank near 1300 overall and around 720 among females. Focusing on maintaining this pacing consistency will continue to benefit her performance. There might be opportunities to slightly tighten split times in the middle stretches, which could positively impact her overall standing. Keep refining this strong foundation!
