Early Momentum, Followed by Performance Drop Easton Manson, representing Langtry Farms, showed an impressive start at the 2025 Phoenix Marathon's half marathon event. With an initial pace of 5:55 min/mile for the first two miles, he secured the top position in the M50-54 division. His performance during the early splits, ranking 23rd overall, reflected strong pacing and strategic effort. However, as the race progressed, there was a noticeable decline in pace. The third mile saw a slowdown to 7:18 min/mile, and by mile six, the pace had dropped to 9:54 min/mile. Despite the slower pacing in the remaining miles, Easton completed the race with a final time of 2:45:35, maintaining a respectable average pace of 12:38 min/mile. Continuing to focus on consistent pacing through the latter half of the race might help sustain the early momentum Easton demonstrates. Nevertheless, his early strong performance is commendable.
